DakhaBrakha<\/b><\/a><\/span>, the highly acclaimed world-music quartet from Ukraine, returns to Bucharest \u2013 Thursday, September 21<\/b> at Expirat<\/b> \u2013 to perform as part of the 7th<\/sup><\/span> edition of DokStation Music Documentary Film Festival<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Reflecting fundamental elements of\u00a0sound and soul, Ukrainian ethnic chaos<\/i> band DakhaBrakha<\/b><\/span><\/a> create a\u00a0world of\u00a0unexpected new music.<\/p>\n

The name DakhaBrakha<\/b> is\u00a0original, outstanding and authentic at\u00a0the same time. It\u00a0means \u00abgive\/take\u00bb in\u00a0the old Ukrainian language.<\/p>\n

DakhaBrakha<\/b> was created in\u00a02004 at\u00a0the Kyiv Center of\u00a0Contemporary Art \u00abDAKH\u00bb by\u00a0the avant-garde theatre director\u00a0\u2014 Vladyslav Troitskyi. Theatre work has left its mark on\u00a0the band performances\u00a0\u2014 their shows have never been staged without the scenic effects.<\/p>\n

After setting European stages on fire with the release of their first LP in 2022, the mighty Turkish band returns with En K\u00f6t\u00fc Iyi Olur<\/i><\/span><\/a>, an album that reflects their image: edgy, independent, political, and tremendously effective. With their roots in Anatolian poetry and sounds, but their focus on a club-oriented, uncompromising rock, Lalalar<\/b> has not given up and is once again ready to turn everything upside down.<\/p>\n

The brainchild of three of Turkey\u2019s most active and innovative alternative artists \u2013 Ali G\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc \u015eim\u015fek, Barlas Tan \u00d6zemek and Kaan D\u00fczarat \u2013 the music of Lalalar<\/b> is a thrilling mix of punk energy, dark electronics and Turkish instrumentation and samples.<\/p>\n
